The City of Mason received the highest Moody's rating possible as a result of Tom's 8 years on Mason's finance committee and as Mayor. Tom has a proven record of implementing conservative fiscal policies.

Commissioner Tom Grossmann is 100% Pro-Life. Tom served on the advisory board of a crisis pregnancy center and defended the rights of the pro-life movement before the Ohio Supreme Court. Tom often worked with former President of the National Right to Life Committee, the late Dr. Wilke and his wife, Barbara. After reading their book in college, "Handbook on Abortion," Tom was moved to become active in the Pro-Life movement. Tom has represented adoptive families and is the blessed father of adopted children. Tom has been endorsed by Cincinnati Right to Life.

Commissioner Tom Grossmann supported the Ohio Defense of Marriage Act writing a legal analysis to the Ohio State Senate in 2004.Tom supports policies that bolster family stability, taking inspiration from his father, Judge David E. Grossmann, who was one of the leading juvenile court judges in the nation.

​Tom’s father re-wrote the nation’s laws on child abuse, neglect, custody and adoption. For decades, Tom has done pro-bono work for families in need of help.

Defending the Rights of
​Families and Children

Tom Grossmann helped draft a display law with Ken Blackwell in Cincinnati to protect children from pornographic material that was once easily accessible to children in retail stores. Tom helped found and served on the Board of Citizens for Community Values for over 20 years. Tom was a principal speaker for CCV on the right of families and children to be protected from sexual predators and obscenity. Tom was also counsel for homeschool families and defended their educational rights.

Constitution and the
​Second Amendment

Tom Grossmann is an expert on Constitutional Law, was the President of the Cincinnati chapter of the Federalist Society (a conservative legal group) and believes that the US Constitution should be interpreted based upon the intent of the framers.

​Tom supports Second Amendment rights, is a member of the NRA, a graduate of the concealed carry class and a life-long sport shooter.
